Who I am
In 2022, I went completely gluten-free to help manage my PCOS symptoms. While it helped me feel better and more in control, there was one problem I couldn’t ignore… I really missed bread. The warm, buttery kind. The garlicky breadstick kind. The kind you tear into before it even cools.
I tried just about every gluten-free loaf I could find, but none of them quite hit that classic white-bread comfort spot. So I got curious. A little nerdy. I dove into research on gluten tolerance and gut health and discovered sourdough, specifically how its natural fermentation supports digestion and can be a better option for those with PCOS (especially when paired with good fats and protein).
And just like that, my sourdough journey began. It was messy at first (think dense loaves and very questionable shapes), but through lots of trial, error, and learning, sourdough became a way of life in our home. Today, my family eats only homemade bread. Because honestly, why buy bread with 15+ ingredients when it can be made with fewer than five?
I’m a home baker with no fancy equipment, just simple tools, quality ingredients, and a deep love for the baking process. My hope is to share healthy, delicious carbs with you and your family, so we can all keep enjoying bread the way it’s meant to be enjoyed: warm, nourishing, and completely guilt-free.
